New health & lifestyle services for railway stations - Startups can still apply until 10th of September
Together with our strong partner DB Station&Service, which operates more than 5,000 railway stations and welcomes more than 20 million travelers every day, we want to offer something special. In order to improve the quality and satisfaction rate of our passenger service, we are constantly on the lookout for innovative retail concepts. For our new retail program New health & lifestyle services for railway stations, we are looking for new concepts within the areas of smart food & nutrition, femcare & personal care concepts as well as health services. Other approaches that we haven't thought of yet are also welcome. We are looking for exciting concepts that can be submitted until September 10th via our website here.
 Zukunft Nahverkehr 2023 - Startup selection day, marketplace, workshop and much more
At ZUKUNFT NAHVERKEHR you can discover and experience the public transport of tomorrow. From the 4th until the 9th of September visitors can dive into various formats at STATION-Berlin to exchange and discuss current developments and trends within the area of public transport. This is a perfect setting to give our startups the stage and audience. And so, on the 6th of September from 2-5.30pm, our startup selection day for the new DB Regio program will take place on the Marketplace stage. Here, eleven startups will present their innovative solutions live on stage and show how the local transport of tomorrow can be designed in the areas of intermodal mobility, big data, barrier-free mobility or customer communication. In addition to exciting startup pitches, we will also be on site with a marketplace booth and alumni startups such as ListNRide, ByteBuzzer, the moc, TAWNY, V-Locker & bCyber and hold a Transportation Open Data Day workshop on Friday. Railway Forum 2023 - Meet us at Europe's leading management conference for the rail industry
On the 6th and 7th of September, the railway industry will meet for the 8th Railway Forum in Berlin and of course we can't miss it! This year, we have a joint booth with some of our alumni startups to showcase their different approaches. At our startup corner you will find brighter AI, Building Information Innovator (BII), Gestalt Robotics, Sodex Innovations, SUMM AI, TOUGH Training & Userlane. Come by and learn about the different startup projects and technologies and exchange ideas. In addition, on the second day you will see our colleagues Franka Korkus & Nils Hillebrandt and Jonas Wolpold & Hayri Göcke live on the main Stage. They will give insights on how to succeed in establishing more startup collaborations in the rail sector. Jonas & Hayri will give insights on visual construction planning with gaming technology (BII) as well as intelligent automation with a technology construction kit (Gestalt Robotics). At the Railway Forum, more than 1,700 decision-makers and professionals from the industry will meet to discuss topics such as digitalization & automation, energy supply & sustainable technologies, or value chain of the future.

GreenTech & ConTech - 11 new startups for the innovations of tomorrow
26 startup pitches, 2 stages, 200 guests and 11 winning teams - an exciting selection day full of live pitches, exchange and networking. On the 29th of August we invited 26 international startups to select the best for the upcoming programs GreenTech for DB and Future of Construction Technologies 2023. We saw innovative solutions such as olivine sand to bind CO2, heat conversion through intelligent cooling clothing, generative AI for planning and optimizing material quantities or acoustic quality management to detect manufacturing defects. In the end, 11 teams convinced our expert jury of their innovative approaches and prevail over the competition. Congratulations to the teams Strong by Form, Concular, carbonauten, qdive, pervormance, PowereX Energy, bauray, roometric, Twinsity, Innomatik & Oliment, who have now been selected for our 100 days DB mindbox program. We are looking forward to get started in October!
